GORHAM, Maine – Seven members of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team have earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2026 outdoor season. Freshman
Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) and senior
Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.) each earned a pair of honors with Paradis being honored for the shot put and discus, and Cahill earning All-Region status in the 400-meter hurdles and as part of a 4x100 relay team.
Seniors
Christian Burke (York, Maine) and
Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee) each earned All-Region honors in the decathlon, while sophomore
Reegan Buck (Portland, Maine), freshman
Kody McCranie (Bow, N.H.) and sophomore
Logan Berube (Turner, Maine/Leavitt Area) were honored as part of the 4x100 relay team with Cahill.
The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, Northeast, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Paradis, who is set to compete in the shot put at the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships on Friday, ranked second in the region in the shot put with a mark of 17.25m and third in the discus with a mark of 50.38m. The freshman won the DIII New England shot put title with a throw of 16.63m and placed first in the discus at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships. He placed second in both events and third in the javelin at the Little East Conference Championships on his way to being named the LEC Field Rookie of the Year.
D'Amico and Burke had the top two scores in the region for the decathlon with 6042 points and 6039 points. D'Amico's score is a personal-best and earned him second place at the DIII New England Championships. He ranks fourth in program history. Burke placed just behind him in third. Cahill is now a three-time All-Region performer in the decathlon, while Burke has earned the honor twice.
Cahill ranked fourth in the region in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.02 second that ranks sixth in program history. His time came on the last day of the season at the MIT Final Qualifier and propelled him into the top 30 nationally. This is the second time that he has earned All-Region honors in the event.
The 4x100 team placed third at the DIII New England Championships with a time of 42.08 seconds. Their time ranks eighth in program history.
