Huskies Defeated by Nor’easters 4-0

GORHAM, Maine – The University of New England Nor'easters defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon non-conference match at Gorham's Costello Sports Complex. The match was played in clinch/clinch format with the doubles portion ending when one team won two matches and the singles portion ending when one team reached four points. The Huskies' No. 3 double pair of junior captain Kayde Kinaschuk (Calgary, Alberta) and freshman Aiden Urbahn (Freeport, Maine/International School of Sosua) were leading their opponents 5-4 when doubles play was stopped by the Nor'easters clinch the double point.
 
Freshman Bowdoin Allen (Mount Desert, Maine/Mount Desert Island) and sophomore Charlie Bitar (Perry, Maine/Calais) lost 6-4 at No. 1 doubles and each played well in their singles match despite losing. Senior Landon Weaver (Bowdoinham, Maine/ Mt. Ararat) and freshman Chase Noble (Bar Harbor, Maine/Mount Desert Island) fell 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. Weaver dropped his No. 3 singles match 7-5, 6-1
