How It Happened:
  • Each team scored twice in the opening period. Simopoulos opened the scoring after taking a deflected puck all the way down the ice and scoring off his own rebound. Endicott then scored twice in less than 30 seconds to take a 2-1 lead. Kyle Furey found Louie Kamienski behind the Huskies' defense on a long pass to set up the first score 5:33 into the period. 25 seconds later Grayson Gerhard buried a loose puck in front of the net to put the Gulls ahead.
  • With just over eight minute left in the period, Thornley-Hall netted his first career goal after a shot by senior Owen Drummey (Falmouth, Maine) was saved and the rebound kicked around in front of the net before a clearing attempt by an Endicott player found its way to Thornley-Hall.
  • Endicott reclaimed the lead when Carson Nickulas picked up a deflected puck at center ice and skated into the zone to rip a shot past Morin 4:50 into the second period.
  • The Gulls extended the lead to 4-2 on a goal by Noah Gibbs from Kamienski and Sebastian Speck with 13:17 left in regulation.

Inside The Stats:
