KEENE, N.H. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's cross country team placed 15th out of 29 teams on Saturday at the Keene State Invitational. The top performer for the Huskies was freshman
Ava Collamore (Waldoboro, Maine/Medomak Valley) with a time of 24:02.6 in the 6k to place 58th. Sophomore
Lana DiRusso (Freeport, Maine) finished just behind Collamore in 59th with a time of 24:02.8.
Williams College placed first in the meet with Bowdoin College placing second and Tufts University finishing third. The Huskies ranked third out of six Little East Conference teams at the event behind Plymouth State and Keene State, who placed eighth and ninth. Estella Laird from Willaims won the race with a time of 21:57.2.
On the Course:
- Freshman Ryley Hubert (Griswold, Conn.) placed 102nd with a time of 24:40.5.
- Senior Julia Szewc (Hermon, Maine) finished 104th at 24:42.4 and junior Cora Casad (Lisbon Falls, Maine/Mt. Ararat) placed 105th with a time of 24:43.4.
- Sophomore Rohen Brown (Auburn, Maine/Saint Dominic Academy) placed 161st with a time of 26:03.8.
- Sophomore Addie Beale (South Berwick, Maine/Marshwood) finished 187th with a time of 26:57.9.
- Senior Elise Schultz (Windham, Maine) placed 196th with a time of 27:15.1.
- Sophomore Aeryn Babson (Standish, Maine/Bonny Eagle) finished 213th at 27:49.8.
- Freshman Alias Falardeau (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) placed 226th with a time of 28:44.3.

The next meet for the Huskies will be the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday, October 17 at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Conn.
