GORHAM, Maine  – Junior Connor Leclerc (Windham, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's soccer team has been named the Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Leclerc is the third Husky to earn weekly recognition from the conference during the 2026 season.

Earning LEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career, Leclerc turned in a pair of outstanding 90-minute shifts in a pair of scoreless draws for Huskies against Maine Maritime Academy Mariners, and Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors.  Leclerc was part of the Huskies' defense that held the Mariners to just one shot on goal and four total in a mid-week non-conference game.  On Saturday, against Eastern Connecticut, Leclerc made several key defensive plays and aerial wins to help USM hold the Warriors scoreless and limit them to one shot on goal (11 overall).
