Exauce Lenge (Portland, Maine) scored the first goal of the season to help the University of Southern Maine Huskies to a 1-1 draw in their season-opening contest with the UMaine Fort Kent Bengals.

Today's game marks just the third contest between the University of Southern Maine and the UMaine at Fort Kent Bengals. The Huskies and Bengals faced each other in 1972 with Southern Maine earning a 2-1 win. Southern Maine and UMFK drew in 2024 with a 2-2 scoreline. USM leads the series 1-0-2.
How It Happened:
- Lenge scored the second goal of his career, and the first of 2025, completing an assist from sophomore Alex Graver (Freeport, Maine) in the 56th minute to break open a scoreless game.
- UMFK tied the game up in the 76th minute on a far post strike from Deandre Smith.
- Graver put a pair of headers on target in the final moments of the game for the Huskies, but Bengal goalkeeper Romeo Daniels was able to make both stops.
