Carrolton will make his National Championship debut after recording the fifth best discus throw in NCAA Division IIII this season. His distance of 53.29m is a program record and won him the event title at the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Outdoor Championships on May 10. Carrolton has put together an impressive season with honors at the state, conference and regional levels. Earlier this season, he was named the Frederick D. Tootell Most Valuable Field Performer at the Maine State Meet after winning the shot put and discus titles. As the stakes rose with championship season Carrolton's discus marks rose with them. He placed second in both the discus and shot put at the Little East Conference Championships to earn Second Team All-LEC honors and placed third in the discus DIII New England Championships while also placing second in the shot put. Those performances boosted him up the national performance list into national qualifying range, but he cemented his place with a performance at the NEICAAA Championships that pushed him into the top five nationally. Four of his throws at the meet surpassed the program record at the time. The discus competition will be held on the first day of the competition, Thursday, May 22, at 10:30 am.

Drummey tied for the 11th best mark in the pole vault this season with a clearance of 4.95m. He has now qualified for the outdoor national championship meet four times in his career and earned All-American honors in 2021 and 2023. The 2025 LEC champion in the pole vault with a mark of 4.93m, Drummey captured his third LEC outdoor pole vault title earlier this season with a mark of 4.93m to move into the top 15 nationally. He then cleared 4.95m at both the DIII New England Championships and the UMass Last Chance Meet. His mark ranks second in the East region. He will compete on the final day of the event, Saturday, May 24, at 12:00 pm.

Shain started the season by running a time of 10.59 seconds at the University of Central Florida Black and Gold Invitational in March. At the time, it was the second fastest time in program history behind his own record of 10.58 seconds. Shain has since broken that record three times this season. The first time was when he clocked in at 10.53 seconds in the prelims at the Southern New Hampshire University Ed Daniels Invite. He then won the third LEC 100-meter dash title of his career with a time of 10.48 seconds to jump back into the top 20 nationally. Shain broke the record a third time in the prelims at the DIII New England Championships with a time of 10.43 seconds to improve his national standing and won the New England title the next day with a time of 10.63 seconds in the finals. The 2025 LEC Track Athlete of the Year will enter next week's event with the 14th best time in the event this season. The prelims for the 100-meter dash will be held on Friday, May 23 at 3:30 pm. This will be Shain's first time competing at the outdoor national championship meet.
