PROVIDENCE, R I. – Donny McInnis, Jack Donnelly and Jacob Tresser each recorded five points for The Johnson & Wales University Wildcats on Friday evening as part of 17-2 win against the University of Southern Maine Huskies. McInnis scored five goals, Donnelly had three goals and two assists and Tresser recorded four goals plus an assist. Jack Davis assisted on two goals and scored once while Kyle Marcinko, Matthew Bancroft, Greyson Doyle and Owen Centeio each had a goal and an assist.

The Wildcats took a 2-1 lead in the series with today's win. JWU won the first meeting between the two teams on March 1, 2023 8-7 while the Huskies evened the series with an 11-5 win last season on March 30, 2024.

How It Happened:
- James scored 55 seconds into the game before the Wildcats rattled off a 4-0 run to end the quarter.
- McInnis scored in the first minute of the second quarter and Tresser scored twice to give the hosts a 7-1 lead at the half.
- A three-goal effort by McInnis helped the Wildcats to a 7-0 run in the third quarter. The Wildcats closed out the game by outscoring the Huskies 3-1 in the fourth quarter with O'Driscoll netting the Southern Maine goal.

- The Wildcats had a 30-8 lead in shots on goal also led in faceoffs (14-8), ground balls (41-21) and caused turnovers (14-13).
