WATERVILLE, Maine – The No. 4 ranked Colby College Mules defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies 20-3 on Monday evening in a non-conference contest. Seven Mules had multiple points in the win led by a six-point effort from Gennie Littlejohn with a goal and five assists. Zoey Verbesey scored three times for Colby as well. Fifth-year senior

How It Happened:
- Colby scored 45 seconds into the game on a goal by Jenna Goldstein from Littlejohn. Littlejohn then scored on a free-position shot before picking up another assist on a score by Julia Jardina. Goldstein scored again to extend the lead to 4-0 and Julia Maimonis added a fifth Colby goal with 3:09 left in the quarter.
- The Mules scored six more times in the second quarter to take an 11-0 lead at halftime. Littlejohn assisted on three of the goals. All three of Verbesey's goals came in the quarter.
- Gatchell ended the shutout bid with 11:37 left in the third quarter and Kinney made the score 11-2 2:15 later. The Mules then outscored the Huskies 3-1 to close out the quarter.
- Colby added six more goals in the fourth quarter. Chelsea Tzau accounted for two of the goals.

- Colby put 24 shots on goal to Southern Maine's seven. They also led 22-4 in draw controls and 17-14 in ground balls.
- Juniors Cierra Hill and Britney Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) scooped up three ground balls each to tie for the game lead. The former also lead all players in caused turnovers with four.
- Ainsley Dion led all players in draw controls with seven.
