How It Happened:
- Wentworth scored twice in the first 5:07 to take a 2-0 lead with Ramm and Vaillancourt recording the goals. Danny Phelan and Ethan Lim assisted on the first goal, while George Kolovos and Nick Bosch had assists on the second goal.
- The Huskies cut the lead to 2-1 on a goal by Kinaschuk that was assisted by juniors Dyson Germann (Lloydminster, Saskatchewan) and Ethan Hoover (Hershey, Penn.). The assist is Germann's first point as a Husky. Southern Maine then tied the game on a turnaround shot by Donovan that found its way into the net 13:22 into the period with Hagan and sophomore Hunter Svicki (Toronto, Ontario) assisting.
- Bezio gave the Huskies a 3-2 lead on a power play goal with 7:34 left in the second period. His goal was the only score of the period. Sophomore Ben Thornley-Hall (Coquitlam, British Columbia) recorded his first career point with an assist.
- Hagan extended the Huskies' lead to 4-2 20 seconds into the third period after forcing a turnover in the Wentworth zone and firing a shot past McGovern. However, the Leopards then went on to score the final three goals of the contest to take the game 5-4. Vaillancourt started the run with a power play goal before the Leopards tied the game with 14:13 left on a goal by Nolan Lowe. Another power play goal, this time from Ramm gave Wentworth the lead for good at 5-4 with 9:16 left to go.
