GORHAM, Maine – Fifty-four University of Southern Maine student-athletes were announced as part of the 2025 Little East Conference All-Academic Team for fall sports. Students from all nine of Southern Maine's Little East Conference sponsored teams have representatives on the academic squad: men's and women's soccer, field hockey, men's and women's cross country, men's & women's golf, women's tennis and women's volleyball.
To be named to the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least a full academic year.
The Huskies' 2025 Little East Conference Championship women's soccer program led the way with 16 student-athletes earning the honor. Huskies' field hockey (8), men's soccer (7) and women's cross country (5) and the 2025 LEC Championship men's golf team (5) were the next four teams with the highest number of representatives.
Of the 54 All-Academic Team members from the University of Southern Maine, 46 had a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Thirteen Huskies had a GPA of 3.9 or higher, including five student-athletes with a 4.0 grade point average: women's soccer student-athletes
