How It Happened:
- MacLeod scored the first shorthanded goal of her career 14:39 into the first period. MacLeod drew a faceoff back to junior Audrey Donahue (Timberlea, Nova Scotia/ Kimball Union Academy who cleared the puck down the ice. Salem State's goaltender left the net to pay the puck and a miscue by the Vikings allowed the hustling MacLeod to blast the puck into an empty net. Stymiest extended the lead to 2-0 about three minutes later after MacLeod fed her a pass from behind the net. Woodford also assisted on the goal.
- Power tipped in a shot from junior Caroline Thompson (Victoria, Prince Edward Island/Mount Academy) with 2:06 left in the second period for her first career goal. Donahue recorded an assist on the power-play goal as well.
- The Vikings cut the lead to 3-2 with two goals in the first 10:33 of the third period. Albanese scored the first with an assist by Makayla McGrath before assisting on a Brooke Dineen goal.
- Stymiest scored off her own rebound in the final five minutes to put the Vikings comeback bid to bed for the 4-2 final.
