GORHAM, Maine – Freshman Taylor Farr (Gorham, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's golf team has been named the Little East Conference Golfer of the Week and Rookie of the Week after placing first at the Huskies' season-opening tri-match.
 
Farr shot one-over par with a score of 73 in a field of 20 competitors at the event that was hosted at Riverside Golf Course. Farr had an eagle and two birdies at the event and was one-under par through the first nine holes. His eagle came on the fourth hole.
 
Farr and the Huskies will compete at the John Queenan Memorial Invitational on Wednesday at Point Sebago Golf Course.
