CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Aidan Hallinan scored twice in the first half and added a second-half assist as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Engineers defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies 4-0 in a non-conference men's soccer game Sunday afternoon at Roberts Field.

Today's contest is just the second meeting between the University of Southern Maine and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Engineers. With today's result, MIT leads the overall series 2-0-0. The Huskies and the Engineers last faced each other in 2011 with the Engineers earning a 7-0 result.
How It Happened:
- Hallinan scored the first of his two goals of the game in the 12th minute deflecting in a cross from Shikhar Motupally.
- The Engineers led 2-0 in the 16th minute as Jack Minor headed in a flicked on ball from Jonah Gurion before Hallinan netted the brace in the 28th minute to give MIT a 3-0 lead at the half. Hallinan completed the assist from Arun Kirk with a far post shot.
- The Engineers added one more goal in the second half. Garrett Dyson cleaned up a rebounded shot off of the post from Hallinan in the 70th minute for the 4-0 final.
