GORHAM, Maine – Graduate student William Carrolton (Bath, Maine/Morse), sophomore Michael D'Amico (Belgrade Lakes, Maine/Messalonskee), senior Ben Drummey (Biddeford, Maine) and senior Ethan Shain (Sanford, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team have earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). All-Region honors are awarded to the top five performers in each men's and women's track and field event and the members of the top three relay teams in each NCAA Division III region from the season-ending descending order list of performances.
 
Carrolton had the second-best discus mark in the East region at 50.93m, a program record that he achieved at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships. His mark ranks 24th in NCAA Division III. This is his first time earning All-Region honors.
 
D'Amico earned All-Region status by compiling the fifth-best decathlon score in the region. He recorded 5,410 points at the Division III New England Championships to place sixth at the event. His score makes him the fifth highest scoring decathlete in program history. D'Amico also earned All-Region honors for the 2022-23 indoor season in the heptathlon.
 
Drummey picked up his third outdoor All-Region selection for the pole vault. He was also honored in 2021 and 2023. His season-best mark of 5.02m is second in the region and is tied for seventh nationally. His clearance came at the DIII New England Championships. Drummey will be making his third trip to the outdoor National Championship meet on Thursday, May 23 at 4:00 pm.
 
Shain recorded the third-fastest 100-meter dash time in the region at 10.58 seconds. His program-record time came in the prelims of DIII New England Championships. His time is tied for 40th in the country.
