GORHAM, Maine – Connor Chirico and Tanner Drobish each scored five times for the Eastern Connecticut State University Warriors in a 19-8 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies on Saturday afternoon in Gorham. Chirico also dished out three assists while Drobish logged two. The Warriors also had two goals and two assists from Brycen Kennedy.

How It Happened:
- O'Driscoll scored two minutes into the contest to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead and freshman Owen Gaulrapp (Windham, Maine) doubled the lead with 10:40 left in the quarter. The Warriors tied the game with back-to-back goals by Chirico before adding three more goals to take a 5-2 lead into the first break. Drobish scored the fifth goal with just one second left on the clock.
- The Warriors opened the second quarter on a 5-0 run over the first six minutes of action to extend their lead to 10-2. Kennedy scored twice and had an assist in the run and Quinn O'Connor had a goal and an assist. O'Driscoll and James had goals for Southern Maine.
- Eastern Connecticut outscored Southern Maine 4-1 in the third quarter to pull further ahead. Two of the goals came from Drobish and Zacharie Appolon recorded two assists. Freshman Kaden Manning (Alfred, Maine/Massabesic) recorded the goal for the Huskies.
- James scored twice and senior Schuyler Wetmore (Cumberland Center, Maine/Greely) also had a goal in the fourth quarter as the Warriors finished off the Huskies with a 4-3 fourth quarter for a final score of 19-8.

- Rick O'Neal went 19-of-25 on faceoffs to lead the Warriors to a 20-9 advantage in the statistic. He also recorded 12 ground balls.
