GORHAM, Maine – Six members of the UMass Boston Beacons' men's lacrosse team scored multiple goals in a 22-9 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies on Wednesday afternoon at Gorham's Hannaford Field. Greg Wolff totaled eight points on five goals and three assists, Zach Mann had a hat trick and four assists, and Sean Daly scored four times. Timothy Sullivan, Luke Murphy, and Charlie Chapman each scored twice with Sullivan picking up an assist as well. In Nine Beacons have multiple points as Caesar Hendricks logged a goal and two assists, Mic Flynn had a goal and an assist and Shane Mcgonagle assisted on two goals.

The James brothers led the Huskies in goals with
Nick James (Portland, Maine/Deering) scoring three times with an assist and
Andrew James (Portland, Maine/Deering) netting two goals. Senior
Schuyler Wetmore (Cumberland Center, Maine/Greely) scored once and assisted on four goals. The Huskies also had goals from junior
Aman Zunser (Lyman, Maine/ Massabesic) and freshmen
Adam Coley (Valencia, Cail./Cheshire) and
Owen Gaulrapp (Windham, Maine).

How It Happened:
- The Huskies battled back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the game at 3-3 with 4:09 left in the first quarter. Nick James, Wetmore and Zunser had the scores for Southern Maine. The Beacons pulled ahead 4-3 41 seconds later when Wolff scored thanks to a feed from Mann.
- Murphy extended the UMass Boston lead to 5-3 1:11 into the second quarter before the Huskies tied the score at 5-5 thanks to a pair of goals by Andrew James. The first goal featured an assist by his brother while Wetmore assisted on the second with the Huskies a man-up. The Beacons broke the tie with a 4-0 run in just over a minute of game time and then added another goal late to enter halftime ahead 10-5. Wolff had two of the goals and assisted on another one.
- The Beacons scored six more times in the third quarter to further extend their lead. The elder James scored twice in the quarter for the Huskies with Wetmore recording the assist each time.
- The final quarter matched the previous quarter's score line at 6-2 in favor of the Beacons. Daly had two of the goals for UMass Boston. Coley scored a man-up goal and Gaulrapp scored as well for the Huskies.

Inside The Stats:
- Matt Lucozzi won 27-of-28 faceoffs for the Beacons and had 16 ground balls. His only loss came on a faceoff violation. The Beacons led 31-3 in faceoff wins.
- The Beacons led 65-28 in ground balls, thanks in part to their excellent performance on faceoffs. Sophomore Wylie Fiutak (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) led the Huskies with four ground balls, including one on a faceoff.
- Junior Duncan Hayes (Augusta, Maine/Cony) caused three turnovers and had three ground balls for the Huskies.
- Wetmore now has 35 assists on the season and is one away from tying the record of 36 set last season by Nick James. James is also in range of surpassing his own record with 31 helpers this season.
