WATERVILLE, Maine –
Schuyler Wetmore (Cumberland Center, Maine/Greely) recorded a career-high 12 points on Saturday for the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a 15-9 win over the Thomas College Terriers. Wetmore scored four times and dished out a program record eight assists. His 12 points are tied for the second highest single-game total in program history.
Wetmore contributed on the first nine Southern Maine goals and was one of seven total Huskies to score in the game. Junior
Aman Zunser (Lyman, Maine/ Massabesic) had a hat trick and an assist and senior
Omar Contreras (Portland, Maine/Deering) assisted on three goals and scored two. Freshman
Adam Coley (Valencia, Cail./Cheshire) and junior
Andrew James (Portland, Maine/Deering) also had multiple points with Coley scoring twice and James recording a goal and two assists. Freshman
Patrick O'Driscoll (Biddeford, Maine) and sixth year senior
Nick James (Portland, Maine/Deering) also scored for the Huskies.
Connor Hamilton, Hunter Simpson and Timothy Worster each had two points for the Terriers. Hamilton and Worster each had two goals and Simpson logged a goal and an assist.

How It Happened:
- The low-scoring first quarter saw the Huskies score twice and surrender a goal to the Terriers. Wetmore assisted on both goals, first feeding Contreras and then the elder James brother.
- Southern Maine's offensive erupted for six goals in the second quarter thanks to three tallies by Wetmore. Contreras, Zunser and O'Driscoll also scored the quarter with assists from Wetmore.
- The Huskies opened the third quarter on a 5-0 run to pull ahead 13-3. Contreras had two assists and Wetmore scored twice and had an assist. The Terriers countered with a 4-0 run to end the quarter with half of their goals coming from Worster.
- Thomas cut the lead to 13-9 before Zunser and Coley added goals in the six minutes for the 15-9 final.
Inside The Stats:
- The Huskies outshot the Terriers 44-37 overall and led 24-19 in shots on goal.
- Wetmore's eight assists broke Keegan Smith's program record for the most in a game. Smith had seven assists in a 19-7 win against New England College on March 14, 2015.
- Thomas led in faceoffs 17-10.
