NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Two goals from Aimee Headland and 29 saves by Leocadia Clark helped the No. 10 Norwich University Cadets to a 3-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in women's New England Hockey Conference action on Saturday afternoon. Senior goalie Haley McKim (Moncton, New Brunswick/Mount Academy) made 35 saves in the game. Norwich clinched the top seed in the upcoming NEHC Championship Tournament with the win. Olivia Boyer had two assists for Norwich in the win.

How It Happened:

• Norwich scored a goal in each period with the first period tally coming from Livia Brooks with Taylor Girouard, Taylor and Grace Joscelyn assisting at 16:57 into the game.
• Headland scored 15:41 into the second period with an assist from Boyer off a faceoff win.
• Headland added an empty-netter in the final minute to make the final score 3-0. Boyer and Melianne Reynolds were credited with the assists.

 
Inside The Stats:

• Graduate student Jordan Colbert (Manomet, Mass./Plymouth South) blocked three shots for the Huskies.
• Senior Maddy Young (Westford, Vt.) led all players in faceoffs wins with 15.
• The Huskies were 0-for-4 on power-plays while Norwich went 0-for-2.
• McKim finishes the regular season with the best save percentage (.956), the second-most saves (671) and the fourth-lowest goals against average (1.46).
