AUSTIN, Texas – Carter Glenn had 22 points and six rebounds to lead the Nebraska Wesleyan University Wolves to an 84-61 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in the third game of the Concordia (Texas) Holiday Classic in a non-conference men's basketball game Monday afternoon at Concordia Fieldhouse.
Glenn was one of three Wolves in double-figures. Christian Winn added 17 points while Jack Groeteke added 10 points.

Bryce Lausier (Glenburn, Maine/Hampden Academy) led the Huskies with a game-high 24 points, adding six rebounds. Sophomores
Brady Saunders (Brewer, Maine) and
Justin Allen (Franklin, Mass.) each had 11 points. Allen led Southern Maine with eight boards.

Series History: Today's game marks the first meeting between the Huskies and the Nebraska Wesleyan University Wolves.
How It Happened:
- In a closely contested first half, Southern Maine pulled even with the Wolves, 36-36, with 3:32 remaining in the half on a traditional three-point play from Lausier. Nebraska Wesleyan surged ahead of the Huskies in the final minutes of play outscoring Southern Maine 13-5 to take a 49-41 lead into the halftime break. NWU went 5-for-6 from the field during the run, including 2-for-3 from three, and were led by eight points from Glenn. Lausier ended the first half with 21 points.
- NWU remained on the front foot in the second half and outscored Southern Maine 12-5 in the first 8:23 of action to open up a 61-46 advantage with 11:37 remaining in the game. Glenn had six of the Wolves 12 points in the run. The Huskies struggled offensively in the stretch going just 1-for-12 from the field. Saunders scored each of the Huskies' five points.
- Scoring took a break for both sides over the next three minutes Winn snagged an offensive rebound and a put back to give NWU a 63-46 lead with 8:04 to go to start an 8-0 run to put the Wolves ahead by 23, 69-46, with just over five minutes to go. From there the Wolves held USM off and led by as many as 26 points late for the win.

- NWU scored 21 points off of USM's 21 turnovers in the game. The Huskies forced the Wolves into 14 turnovers scoring 14 points off of miscues.
- Southern Maine shot 35.4 percent (17-for-48) from the field. The Huskies shot 54.17 percent (13-for-24) in the first half, but went just 4-for-24 in the second half.

The Huskies return to action in January at home versus LEC opponent UMass Boston on Wednesday, January 8 (7:30 pm). Southern Maine remains in LEC action and travels to Western Connecticut State on Saturday, January 11 (3:00 pm).
