GORHAM, Maine – Erin Murray recorded a 17-save shutout for the William Smith College Herons on Saturday in a 2-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's ice hockey team in New England Hockey Conference play. William Smith's Bella Hacker scored the game-winner in the second period and Annabel Ziskin added an empty-net goal in the final minute for the 2-0 final.

Tonight's game was the ninth meeting between the two teams. The Huskies hold a 5-4 lead in the series. Five of the games have ended in shutouts with the Herons now having three to the Huskies' two.

How It Happened:
- Both goalies were perfect in the first period with Murry making four saves and McKim doubling her total with eight.
- Hacker collected a loose puck and fired a shot past McKim to give the Herons a 1-0 lead with 12:57 left in the second period. The Herons had a 5-on-3 opportunity in the period, but the Huskies held tight defensively to kill both penalties.
- McKim was pulled in the final minute and Ziskin scored a long empty-net goal to make the score 2-0.
