WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Senior
Hunter Stonebraker (Mont Vernon, NH/Souhegan) made seven saves and the University of Southern Maine Huskies drew level with the No. 15 nationally-ranked Williams College Ephs on the road at Cole Field. The shutout is the second of the season for Stonebraker, and fourth overall for the Huskies in 2023.

Today's game marks just the second meeting between the University of Southern Maine Huskies and the Williams College Ephs, and the first meeting since the first round of the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship first round. The Ephs defeated the Huskies 1-0 in the NCAAs in Southern Maine's first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.
How It Happened:
- Both teams put shots up in the early going of the game, but the Ephs registered the first shot on goal in the 13th minute. Stonebraker was up to the task, making the first of her seven saves in the contest.
- Stonebraker made four saves in the first half, and three in the second as the Ephs outshot the Huskies 7-1 on target.
- Southern Maine had three consecutive chances late in the second half on shots from Julia Kratzer, Meghan Przybilla and Kiki Huntress in the 69th and 70th minute, but were unable to find the back of the net. Freshman Makyla Magid had a hit in the 87th minute that missed just wide to the top left side of the next.
