How It Happened
  • Applying early pressure on the Huskies to start the game, Husky freshman goalkeeper Aldo Bryant (Fairhope, Ala./Bayside Academy) kept the scoreboard at zeroes with a trio of quality saves.
  • Norales broke through for the eventual game winning hitting a solid strike after a well-placed ball into the box from Nickolas Santana. WestConn had a pair of corner kicks and three shots in the closing 10 minutes but Southern Maine kept the game at 1-0 headed into the half.
  • The Huskies had more possession and opportunities than the Wolves in the second half, and looked to have scored the equalizer in the 74th minute, but the goal was waved off with an offside call.
