GORHAM, Maine – Cameron Chalue-Feeney and Anthony Recinos each scored a goal to lead the Rhode Island College Anchormen to a 2-1 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a Little East Conference men's soccer game Saturday afternoon at Hannaford Field.
All three goals in the contest were scored in the opening half, as the Anchormen and Huskies combined for just three shots (one on target) in the second half of the contest.

th meeting between Rhode Island College and the University of Southern Maine. RIC leads the series 33-16-8. The Anchormen defeated Southern Maine 1-0 in 2023 and have won the last 11 consecutively. Southern Maine last defeated RIC, 3-0, during the 2012 season.
How It Happened
- Chalue-Feeney registered his first goal of the season with a one-time volley out of the air off of of the foot of Ahrian Vasquez in the 20th minute for a 1-0 RIC lead. Vasquez carried the ball down the right side, turned the corner and hit a service to the far side of the box for Chalue-Feeney.
- RIC led 2-0 in the 31st minute as Anthony Recinos notched his sixth goal of the season, tapping in a loose ball in the box.
- The Huskies took one back moments later in the 33rd minute. After winning one of its two corner kicks of the game, sophomore Jack Brady (Jensen Beach, Fla.) lofted a ball into the area and found the head of sophomore Liam Conneely (Weymouth, Mass). Conneely headed the ball down and to the near post for his third goal of the 2024 season.
- After Conneely's goal the game tilted in favor of the Huskies who put two more shots on the board, including a hard-hit low driven shot from freshman Martin Kelly (Portland, Maine) in the 34th minute, but RIC's Wesley Perrotto made the save.
- Neither team produced many offensive chances in the second half, and the 2-1 scoreline stood.

- Rhode Island College outshot the Huskies 8-4 in the opening half, and ended the game leading in shots 10-5. RIC had four corner kicks and the Huskies earned two.
