How It Happened:
- Jed Brazo gave the Cadets a 1-0 lead 1:28 into the game by collecting his own rebound and backhanding it past Penton. Owen Sclisizzi had the assist on Brazo's goal.
- Norwich doubled their lead thanks to a wrap-around backhanded score from Paul Schmid.
- The Huskies got on the board when Donovan scored off the rebound of a shot from Cole Ouellette (Lewiston, Maine) in the 90 seconds of the period. Ouellette recorded his ninth assist of the season on the play.
- No goals were scored in the second period as Penton made eight saves and Walcarius made nine. The period featured three power-plays but neither team could convert their chances.
- Hagan elevated a wrist shot over a diving Cadet and the blocker of Walcarius for the first goal of his collegiate career after taking a pass from freshman Matt Sullivan (Hingham, Mass./New Hampton School). Senior Austin Marini (Hyde Park, Mass./Catholic Memorial) added an assist on the play as well.
- In overtime the Cadets pressured the Huskies in a flurry of shots but only two found their way to Penton thanks to blocked shots from Ouellette and senior Nolan McElhaney (Natick, Mass./Long Island University). Another breakup by Ouellette led to a Marini breakaway but his shot went wide of the net. Marini also blocked a shot in overtime.
