GORHAM, Maine – Annabel Ziskin assisted on both goals for the William Smith College Herons on Saturday afternoon in a 2-0 shutout win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a women's New England Hockey Conference game. William Smith goaltender Annie Hauser made 25 saves in the shutout.

Today marked the seventh meeting between the two teams with the Huskies leading the series 4-3. Southern Maine won the last meeting by a score of 1-0 on November 10.

How It Happened:
- Junior Madison Chagnon (St. Albans, Vt./Rice Memorial) nearly put the Huskies ahead 12 minutes into the opening period when her shot hit Hauser's blocker and came within inches of sneaking across the goal line.
- William Smith scored on the power-play with 3:21 left in the first period to go up 1-0. Ziskin intercepted the puck in her own zone and took it all the way down the ice before finding Mackenzie O'Neil in front of the net for the goal.
- Each goaltender made seven saves in a scoreless second period that featured the Huskies killing three penalties.
- The Huskies had another great scoring chance just under five minutes into the third period and were once again within inches of a goal when a shot by junior Madelyn McLeish (Dedham, Mass.) hit the crossbar.
- Kayla Ketchabaw gave the Herons a 2-0 lead with 3:13 left on a goal that was assisted by Ziskin and Brittany Foster.
- McKim made 15 saves in the third period to keep the Huskies in the game, but Hauser stopped all nine shots that she faced on the opposite end of the ice.
Inside The Stats:
- The game featured 13 penalties and saw the Herons convert one of their seven power-play opportunities. The Huskies went 0-for-3 with the advantage.
- Seneca Urban and Lauren Legler each won 11 faceoffs for William Smith. The Herons went 36-for-54 as a team on the draw.
- The Herons blocked 13 shots and Southern Maine blocked eight.
