How It Happened:
- Salem State scored first with a power-play goal by Lexi Warner following a rebound and heavy traffic in front of the net. Her goal came with just under five minutes left in the opening period.
- The Huskies caught the Vikings off-guard during a line change and got sophomore Caroline Thompson (Crapaud, Prince Edward Island/Mount Academy) across the blue line with plenty of open ice. Her pass towards goal was poked away by a Viking defender but the puck found its way to Isabella Colarusso-Sprang (Northfield, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) who sent the puck into the back of the net for her first goal of the season. Thompson and Ally Stymiest (Moncton, New Brunswick/Mount Academy) had assists on the goal.
- The Huskies put 14 shots on goal in second but couldn't solve Hollingsworth. McKim made seven saves during the scoreless period.
- Hollingsworth made another 20 saves in the third period and the teams ended regulation still even at 1-1.
- Both teams had good chances in the overtime period with the Vikings putting two shots on the goal and the Huskies logging four shots on goal. The Huskies had a late chance when junior Madison Chagnon (St. Albans, Vt./Rice Memorial) chased down a long pass and found a crashing Thompson in front of the net. However, Thompson's shot rung off the crossbar with nine seconds left before the game ended in a draw.

- Colarusso-Sprang is the 15th Husky to score a goal this season.
- Thompson's assist gives her seven points on the season to tie with Crowley and Chagnon for the team lead.
- The game featured 15 penalties but only one power-play goal. Salem State went 1-for-7 and Southern Maine went 0-for-6.
