GORHAM, Maine – Skye LaMendola recorded 11 kills and four aces to lead the Bowdoin College Polar Bears to a 3-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in non-conference women's volleyball action Tuesday night at Hill Gym in Gorham.

Today's match was the 28th meeting between the two programs and with the victory Bowdoin extended the series lead to 22-6.
How It Happened:
- Bowdoin recorded 14 kills and two aces in the first set on their way to a 25-17 win to go up 1-0.
- The second set ended in favor of Bowdoin 25-13 and the Polar Bears hit .259 during the set.
- The Polar Bears jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the third set thanks to four aces before senior Brianna Delloiacono (Moodus, Conn./ Nathan Hale-Ray) sparked a rally that cut the lead to 8-6. Delloiacono had four consecutive kills during the run. Despite the comeback attempt Bowdoin was able to pull away to take the set 25-10 and sweep the match.

- LaMendola's 11 kills led all players followed by Delloiacono with seven.
- Bowdoin's Maya White had a game-leading 16 digs plus three assists.
- Ella Haugen posted a game-high 26 assists while Cassidy Weiher (Aurora, Colo./ Cherokee Trail) led the Huskies with eight.
- Senior Sierra Castonguay (Nottingham, N.H./Dover) recorded 10 digs for the Huskies followed by freshman Amelia Beatty (Rochester, N.H./ Spaulding) with nine.
- Bowdoin recorded 12 aces as a team led by four apiece from LaMendola and Ashley Jazbec.
