BOSTON, Mass. – The Suffolk University Rams swept the University of Southern Maine Huskies three sets to none in a non-conference women's volleyball tilt on Tuesday evening in Boston, Mass. Suffolk hit .253 as a team with 37 kills in the victory.

Tonight's match was the fifth meeting between the programs. Suffolk now trails 3-2 in the all-time series.
How It Happened:
- The Rams pulled away in the first set going up 19-16 thanks to four straight points. With their backs against the wall Southern Maine fought back and reduced a 24-19 lead to 24-22 thanks in large part to a pair of aces from freshmen Darrien Pugsley (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) but Suffolk escaped with a 25-22 set win.
- Suffolk had a 6-1 that turned a 14-13 disadvantage to a 20-16 lead in the second set and closed out the frame 25-19.
- The Rams controlled the third set winning 25-16 to sweep the match.
Inside The Stats:
- McKenna Keowen did a little bit of everything for the Rams with 13 kills, 10 digs and four aces in addition to recording two block assists. She tied with Tatum Kalt for the game-lead in digs.
- Junior Madison Zimmer (Regina, SK,/Dr. Martin LeBoldus Catholic) had four kills to lead Southern Maine.
- Pugsley added two block assists and three kills to her two aces.
- Suffolk's Jayla Martinez had a game-best 15 assists just two ahead of teammate's Aislinn Lanigan's 13. Freshman Cassidy Weiher (Aurora, Colo./ Cherokee Trail) had 11 for Southern Maine.
- The Rams had 37 kills and allowed just 17 to the Huskies.
