GORHAM, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies and the University of New England Nor'easters women's volleyball teams returned to the court at Hill Gym on Thursday evening to resume their contest from last Saturday that was suspended due to a power outage. The Nor'easters finished off the Huskies in the second set and went on to take the third set to sweep the match 3-0.

Series History:
The game was the second meeting between the two teams this season and the 64th meeting overall. UNE now holds a series lead of 41-23 and has won both matches this season.
How It Happened:
- The Nor'easters jumped out to an early 9-4 lead in the first set only for the Huskies to battle back and tie the set at 10-10. UNE was able to pull away and turned a 16-14 lead into a 23-14 advantage with seven straight points then closed out the set 25-19. Ellijah Hanley had four kills during the run.
- UNE was leading 23-14 in the second set on Saturday before the game was suspended. Once play resumed, they finished off the set 25-16 to take a 2-0 lead into the third set. The Nor'easter hit .423 in the set with 14 kills.
- In the third set UNE had a 12-point run to pull away and won the set 25-9.
Inside The Stats:
- Hanley had a game-leading 13 kills followed by teammate Viktoria Pavlyuk with eight.
- Senior Brianna Delloiacono (Moodus, Conn./ Nathan Hale-Ray) led the Huskies with seven kills. She now has 496 in her career and has a chance to become the 12th player in program history to reach 500 career kills.
- Addie Miller and senior Sierra Castonguay (Nottingham, N.H./Dover) led their respective teams in digs. Miller logged 13 while Castonguay had 11.
- Kassidy Bradshaw recorded 26 assists to lead UNE while freshman Cassidy Weiher (Aurora, Colo./ Cherokee Trail) paced the Huskies with 14.
- The Nor'easters recorded nine blocks as a team led by Kailyn Reilly with a solo block and five block assists.

The Huskies will host a tri-match on Saturday with Eastern Connecticut State University and Fitchburg State University. The first game will be between the Huskies and Eastern Connecticut and will start at noon.
