NEWTON, Mass. – The Lasell University Lasers defeated the University of Southern Maine Huskies women's volleyball team 3-0 on Tuesday evening to extend their winning streak to five games.

Series History:
Tonight's game was the sixth meeting between the two programs. The last time the two teams played was September 11, 2021 with the Huskies winning in five sets. Lasell is now 2-4 all-time against Southern Maine.

How It Happened:
- Lasell withstood a late comeback attempt by the Huskies to take the first set 25-21. The Lasers had 13 kills in the opening set with five coming from McKenna McCool.
- The second set ended 25-19 in Lasell's favor.
- McCool had four more kills in the third set as the Laser won 25-16 to sweep the match.

- Lasell recorded 33 kills in the game led by McCool's 10.
- Senior Brianna Delloiacono (Moodus, Conn./ Nathan Hale-Ray), junior Madison Zimmer (Regina, SK,/Dr. Martin LeBoldus Catholic) and sophomore Drew Johnson (Pismo Beach, Cali. /Brewer) each logged four kills for Southern Maine.
- The Lasers had eight aces with three coming from Saige Cambonga-Meyers.
- Lasell's Sydney Katz led all players in assists with 16 and digs with 18. Maddie Caro and freshman Cassidy Weiher (Aurora, Colo./ Cherokee Trail) each had 17 digs.
- Weiher also had 10 assists in the game.
