WORCESTER, Mass. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies women's volleyball team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday evening with a 3-0 road loss to the Clark University Cougars. Clark extended its own winning streak to five games with the non-conference victory.

Series History:
Tonight's match was just the second ever between Southern Maine and Clark. The two teams first met on October 9, 1982 with Clark winning 2-0.
How It Happened:
- Clark won the first set 25-15 after hitting .296 and had four aces in the set.
- The second set was also 25-15 in Clark's favor with the Cougars again slowly pulling away from the Huskies.
- The Cougars pulled away late in the third set to take the match three sets to none.
Inside The Stats:
- The teams were nearly even in kills with Clark recording 31 and Southern Maine logging 30. Senior Brianna Delloiacono (Moodus, Conn./ Nathan Hale-Ray) led all players with nine followed by junior Isabella Smith (Merrimack, N.H.) and Clark's Victoria Pastor with seven.
- Smith led the Huskies in digs with 10 while Yumeng Liu led Clark with 14.
- Clark recorded 11 aces in the match with four coming from Yvanna Torres who also had 11 assists and six digs.
- Freshman Cassidy Weiher (Aurora, Colo./ Cherokee Trail) matched her career-high assist total with 23.
