WATERVILLE, Maine  - Nicholas Donnelly scored three second half goals to lead the Colby College Mules to a 4-0 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference men's soccer game Monday afternoon at Serdjenian Field.

Today's game is the 43^rd meeting between the University of Southern Maine and the Colby College Mules.  Colby leads the overall series 32-7-4.  It is the first meeting between the Huskies and the Mules since September 23, 2014 – a 2-0 result in favor of Colby. Southern Maine last defeated Colby on September 30, 2009 by the score of 3-0.
 
How It Happened:

• After battling through a scoreless first half, Colby broke through for the first goal of the game in the 63^rd minute as Donnelly tallied his first goal of 2023.
• The Huskies nearly had the equalizer in the 68^th minute as a shot from freshman Khalid Hersi (Lewiston, Maine) rang off of the Colby cross bar; however, the Mules responded making it 2-0 in the 70^th minute on a goal from Joseph Beshel.
• Donnelly scored two more times in the final 20 minutes to secure the 4-0 win for the Mules.  He picked up the brace in the 73^rd minute and then added another in the 88^th.
