Prior to the start of Husky game days, we wanted to make sure you're aware of a new parking policy instituted by the University of Southern Maine. You can follow the story links to learn more about University Parking Services, campus maps, and the new digital parking system and mobile payments. 

Beginning on Monday, August 28, 2023 the University of Southern Maine began charging to park on campus in Portland and Gorham. There are THREE ways to pay for parking:

1. Buy a parking pass. For $36 a pass can be purchased that will allow up to 365 uses during the course of the year. (Please note that parking in one location on the Gorham campus and then moving to another location on the Gorham campus would count as 2 uses.) 2. Pay for parking in advance. You can pay in advance at a rate of $1/hr by clicking the link  and entering 37 Campus Ave Gorham ME into the address field: https://parking.honkmobile.com/parking
    
3. Pay when you park. You can pay when you get here at a rate of $1/hr by scanning the QR code in one of the parking lots. 

Important things to know:

• The parking service is managed by an outside vendor. Athletics employees don't have any access or control over it.
• There is a 10-minute grace period before parking charges will apply. If you are just dropping someone off, you will not need to pay.
• There is a fine for failure to pay within 10 minutes. If you don't have a pass, it will be best to pay the $1/hr, if you think you might be here more than 10 minutes.
• When purchasing a pass, it is good for one vehicle only. If your family will need to have two vehicles parked on campus at the same time, you will need to purchase two passes. (An ability exists to toggle between vehicles and only pay for one pass, but that would only allow one vehicle on campus at a time.)
