How It Happened:
- Shanks accounted for three of Southern Maine's six first-quarter goals and also had an assist to help the Huskies to a 6-3 after the first 15 minutes of play. Caroline Stent scored twice for the Warriors in the quarter.
- The Huskies extended their lead to 11-5 at the half thanks to five goals in the second. Shanks and sophomore Emily Cloutier (Brunswick, Maine) each scored two goals in the second with freshman Molly Black (Windham, Maine) also scoring.
- The Warriors cut the lead down to 11-8 with three unanswered goals over the first 10 minutes of the second half. However, the Huskies scored twice in the final five minutes to go up 13-8.
- ECSU outscored Southern Maine 3-2 in the fourth but could not close the gap as the Huskies held on for a 15-11 conference win.

Inside The Stats:
- Shanks' seven goals are tied for the 10th most in the game in program history and matches her career-high. This is her third seven-goal game of her career.
- Freshman Cierra Hill (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) scored three goals and had two assists.
- Junior Kiaya Gatchell (Portland, Maine/Deering), Cloutier and Black each had two points. Gatchell had two assists, Cloutier scored two goals and Black had one of each. Freshman Maddie Kinney (Topsham, Maine/ Mt. Ararat) and sophomore Julia McKenna (Windham, Maine) also scored for Southern Maine.
- McKenna also caused two turnovers and had three ground balls to go along with 13 draw controls.
- Racine collected four ground balls.
