How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
  • Chagnon weaved her way through a couple of Pilgrim defenders and ripped a high shot past Joerö for her 20th goal of the season 5:29 into the period.
  • Chagnon scored again a few minutes later when she poked home the rebound of an Eryn Taber (Tewksbury, Mass./Austin Prep) shot. Taber recorded her third assist of the year on the play.
  • Neither team scored in the second period. Frendenburg made 11 saves during the scoreless period while Joerö made 10 stops.
  • Freshman Saige MacLeod (Dryden, ON, Canada) made the score 3-0 with her fifth goal of the season. Classmates Sydnee Chaisson (Stratford, PEI, Canada/The Mount Academy) and Olivia Stewart (Fredericton, NB, Canada/The Mount Academy) assisted on the goal.
  • The Pilgrims spoiled Fredenburg's shutout attempt with an Emily Lenzen power play goal with about three minutes left on the clock.
  • Frendenburg earned her first win of the season and the second of her career. Both of her career victories have come against New England.
