CANTON, Mass. – Hannah Berkowitz scored twice and had three assists to lead the Curry College Colonels to an 8-2 non-conference win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies on Saturday afternoon at the Canton Ice House on women's ice hockey action. Curry scored four power-play goals and had 10 different players record points.

How It Happened:
- After being shut out by Fredenburg and the Huskies last night Curry wasted no time avenging the loss with three goals in the first 10 minutes of today's game. Southern Maine cut the lead to 3-1 13 minutes into the period with the first goal of the season by junior Amelie St-Amant (Cornwall, Ontario/ Ontario Hockey Academy). Freshman Shannon Murphy (Pembroke, Mass./Brewster Academy) and sophomore Caroline Thompson (Crapaud, Prince Edward Island/Mount Academy) had the assists on the goal. Murphy's assist was the first point of the career.
- Grayson Goolgasian added a goal for Curry in the final minute of the first period.
- Curry scored two more times in the second period with a Southern Maine goal by sophomore Sydnee Chaisson (Stratford, Prince Edward Island/Mount Academy) sandwiched in-between. Junior Madison Chagnon (St. Albans, Vt./Rice Memorial) recorded the assist.
- Two third-period power-play goals for the Colonels made the final score 8-2.
