KEENE, N.H. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies women's volleyball team traveled to Keene, N.H. on Saturday for a tri-match against Little East Conference opponent Keene State and non-conference foe Wellesley College. The Huskies were defeated three sets to none in each of their two matches.

Keene State now has a 22-6 lead in the all-time series between the two schools.

How It Happened:
- Keene State overcame a 16-13 deficit with six straight points to take the lead and carried that momentum to a 25-19 win in the first set.
- The Huskies rallied back from 16-8 to tie the set at 17-17 and eventually took a 22-21 lead before the Owls closed out the set with four consecutive points to win 25-22.
- The Owls never trailed in the third set and won 25-16 to sweep the match.

- Keene State recorded 35 kills in the match led by 10 from Molly Wetherbee and nine from Veronica Kroha.
- Senior Brianna Delloiacono (Moodus, Conn./ Nathan Hale-Ray) and sophomore captain Drew Johnson (Pismo Beach, Cali. /Brewer) combined for 14 of the Huskies' 22 kills with seven apiece.
- Alexis Small logged 34 assists for the Owls.
- The Huskies had nine aces in the match with five different players recording aces.
- Wetherbee registered eight total blocks for Keene State.
- Senior Sierra Castonguay (Nottingham, N.H./Dover) recorded a game-high 12 digs.

Today's match was the fourth meeting between the two programs and the first since 2017. Wellesley has won all four matches.

How It Happened:
- The Blue pulled away early and won the first set 25-14.
- Wellesley got off to another fast start in the second set and rolled to a 25-9 win to go up two sets to none.
- The third set was won by Wellesley 25-12 to take the match 3-0.

- Kate Salembier and Kate Giang set the tone for the Blue with nine kills each. Giang also had two aces and Salembier had two blocks.
- Madeline Zornek recorded 20 assists, seven digs, and four aces for the Blue.
- Freshman Mia Mantini (Merrimack, N.H.) had seven assists for Southern Maine.
