FARMINGTON, Maine - Freshman
Patrick Mansir (Gardiner, Maine/Gardiner Area) and senior
Joshua Nagle (Biddeford, Maine) each made a save and combined for a shutout as the University of Southern Maine Huskies drew even with UMaine Farmington 0-0 in a non-conference men's soccer game Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies are unbeaten in their last three games (2-0-1).

Today's game marked the 72nd meeting between the University of Southern Maine and UMaine Farmington. The Huskies lead the overall series 47-17-8. The Huskies had won the last two meetings 1-0 in 2022 and 2021 before today's draw.
How It Happened:
- UMF pressured early in the first half registering four shots and a pair of corners in the opening five minutes, but the Southern Maine defense withstood the attack, including an early save from Mansir.
- USM had a fair chance in the 32nd minute as freshman Exauce Lenge (Portland, Maine/Portland) put one on frame only to have it cleared way by the Beavers' Brady Stockwell defensively. The Huskies also had a pair of corner kicks in the final two minutes.
- Both teams had early chances to start the second, including a blocked attempt from junior Tyler St. Martin (Lebanon, N.H.) in the 56th.
- Huskies' sophomore Colin Alert (Gorham, Maine) had a pair of attempts in the closing minutes, but went wide on his second attempt. UMF had one final attempt with seven seconds in regulation when Zach Chaisson put a shot on target at 89:53, but Nagle, USM's second half starter, came up with the save.
