GORHAM, Maine – Angelina Nardolillo scored 20 points on 10-for-13 shooting to lead four players in double figures as the conference-leading Rhode Island College Anchormen defeated the University of Southern Maine 75-35 in Little East Conference women's basketball game Wednesday night at Hill Gymnasium.
Jeniyah Jones added 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists and three steals, while Izabelle Booth had a double-double 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Madison Medbury had 11 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.
Southern Maine's
Amy Fleming (Berwick, Maine/Noble) led the Huskies with nine points, five rebounds and three assists. Sophomore
Maria Degifico (South Portland, Maine) added six points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist, while freshman
Emma Haskell (Hampden, Maine) tossed in five points.

Facing each other for the 92
nd time in series history, Southern Maine leads the overall series 69-23. Rhode Island College defeated USM during its December meeting, and has won the last nine over the Huskies. Southern Maine last defeated RIC on January 26, 2019 by the score of 63-58. .
How It Happened:
- While neither team shot well in the first quarter, Rhode Island College scored the first six points of the game and never looked back, leading USM 13-3 headed to the second.
- In the second quarter, Haskell canned a three to start a 6-0 run for Southern Maine to cut its deficit to 13-9 before RIC rattled off a 9-0 run to lead 22-9. RIC led 36-13 at the break.
- USM started the third with a three from junior Tamrah Gould (Manchester, NH) but the Anchormen answered with another 9-0 run to lead 45-16. From there, RIC stayed comfortably in front for the win.

- RIC shot 44.4 percent (32-for-72) from the field, and scored 46 of its points in the paint. Conversely, Southern Maine shot just 24.6 percent (14-for-57).
- RIC had a 59-29 advantage in rebounds, and had a 20-7 lead in offensive boards. RIC scored 24 of its points off of second chance buckets.
