Huskies Fall Twice at Road Tri-Match

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The University of Southern Maine women's volleyball had a pair of losses on Saturday at a tri-match hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University. The Huskies lost a Little East Conference game against the Warriors 3-0 and then dropped a non-conference contest to Connecticut College.

Game 1
Score: Warriors 3, Huskies 0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-11)
 
Records: Eastern Connecticut 8-2, 2-0, Southern Maine: 2-9, 1-1
 
History: ECSU leads USM 21-3 in the all-time series
 
How It Happened:
  • The Warriors recorded 46 kills compared to 16 from the Huskies.
  • Eastern Connecticut logged 12 aces while surrendering just one to Southern Maine.

  • Junior Meg Perry (Gorham, Maine) had seven kills to lead the Huskies.
