BRUNSWICK, Maine – Ronaldo Cabral had a pair of goals and Charlie Ward had a goal and two assists to lead the Bowdoin College Polar Bears to a 4-1 win over the University of Southern Maine Huskies in a non-conference men's soccer game Tuesday afternoon at Pickard Field.

Facing each other for the 40
th time in series history, Bowdoin now leads Southern Maine 33-4-3. Bowdoin has won the last 13 over USM.

How It Happened:
- Senior Noah Perry scored the first goal of the game in the 18th minute to put the Huskies up 1-0 over Bowdoin. The goal is Perry's first of the season and fifth of his career.
- Bowdoin's Ronaldo Cabral tied the game up in the 23rd minute scoring the first of his two goals in the half. Cabral gave the Polar Bears the lead in the 42nd minute. Cabral has four goals in three games for Bowdoin.
- Hayes Estrella kept it a one-goal differential until late in the game coming up big with clutch saves in the second half before Charlie Ward knocked in a loose ball off of an initial save to make it 3-1 in the 84th minute.
- Dylan Reid ballooned the Bowdoin lead to 4-1 in the 86th minute following the Polar Bears 10th corner kick of the game.

Inside The Stats:
- Bowdoin led USM in shots 26-4 and had a 10-0 lead in corner kicks. Southern Maine had two shots in each half.
- Estrella's previous career high of nine saves was set early this season in a 1-1 draw versus Curry College on September 4.
- After missing the 2021 season, Perry's goal is the first since for him since the 2019 season. Perry last scored on November 2, 2019 in a 3-2 loss to Little East Conference opponent Keene State.
