GORHAM, Maine – Battling for 90 minutes the University of Southern Maine Huskies settled for a scoreless draw with the University of New England Noreasters. Meeting for the 56
th time in the series history between the two schools Southern Maine holds a record of 34-16-7 against UNE. Southern Maine defeated UNE 2-1 in overtime in 2021.

How It Happened:
- Outshooting UNE 15-7 (10-4 on target) the Huskies were unable to put a goal past Noreaster goalkeeper Ollie Hammond. Hammond made eight saves, including a diving stop to his left on a rocket of a shot from Husky senior Ronan Hume (Marshfield, Mass.) in the 74th minute.
- Hammond came up big again for UNE in the 88th minute as USM unleashed a trio of shots in short order before stopping an attempt from junior Will Smith (Northborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional).
- USM senior goalkeeper Hayes Estrella (Kennebunk, Maine/Thornton Academy) turned in another strong performance making four saves, and several key defensive plays.
