KEENE, N.H. – Rex Maccarini (East Longmeadow, Mass.) scored five goals to lead 13 Owls in scoring as the Keene State College Owls took down the University of Southern Maine Huskies 28-11 on Saturday afternoon in Keene.
Nick James (Portland, Maine/Deering) led six Huskies in scoring with four goals.

How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
-Keene State jumped out to an early lead as seven different Owls scored in the first quarter alone. Omar Contreras (Portland, Maine/Deering) scored the Huskies lone goal of the quarter to bring the score to 8-1.
-The Owls did not let up in the second quarter as they tacked on nine more goals. Southern Maine was able to get a couple back when Tuckner Nussinow (Winthrop, Maine/Kent Hills School) and Schuyler Wetmore (Cumberland Center, Maine/Greely) scored back-to-back goals. Keene State led 17-3.
-Southern Maine's offense got going a bit more in the second half as Aidan Mitchell (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick), Aman Zusner (Lyman, Maine/Massabesic), Nussinow, and James all got on the board.
