BANGOR, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies scored seven goals in the fourth quarter to beat the Husson University Eagles 11-9 in Bangor on Wednesday afternoon. The game and win are the Huskies first of the season.

History: This was the 10th matchup between the two teams. The Huskies now lead the series 9-1.

How It Happened/Inside the Box Score: 
-The Eagles got out to a dominant start, six of the game's first seven goals and they led the Huskies 6-2 after two quarters of play. Tucker Nussinow (Winthrop, Maine/Kents Hill) and Aidan Mitchell (Brunswick, ME / Brunswick) each contributed first half goals for the Huskies. 

-Husson continued to open their lead with Danny Carter (Newton, Mass.), Darryn Bailey (Litchfield, Maine), and Gunner McAllister (Albion, Maine) scoring third period goals to put the Eagles up 9-4.

-The fourth quarter was all Huskies as Mitchell scored three of his four goals and Nussinow scored two of his three.
