HOW IT HAPPENED:
  •  Trailing the Falcons twice in the contest, Southern Maine rallied to equalize in the top of the fifth and top of the seventh.  Down 1-0 after the third, USM's Lauren Miller drove in the Huskies' first run of the season with an RBI single to left center in the fifth.
  • Falcon Keegon Piton's RBI single to center in the home half of the fifth returned the lead back to the Falcons, 2-1.
  • After a scoreless sixth, USM again rallied to tie the game up at 2-2. Makena Mulcahy led off the inning with an infield single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt from Miller.  Mulcahy came around to score as Lauren Leidemann-Smith stroked a one-out single to center for an RBI.
  • In the bottom of the seventh, UWRF received back-to-back singles from Jewel Waupekenay and Hannah Richards to lead off the inning.  USM's Morgan Moulton replaced starter Lauren Merrill, and got the next two outs on an infield fly and a line out. A wild pitch moved up the UWRF runners and Keegan Piton was able to get a single into left for the walk off RBI as Harms came home.
