How It Happened/Inside the Box Score:
-With just under 15 seconds left in the first period, Jhuwon Davis (Detroit, Mich./Metro Jets) broke the 0-0 tie to put the Pilgrims on the board with a 1-0 lead.
-The Pilgrims came out of the locker room on a mission in the second period and saw three goals in two minutes, starting with Novotny's first goal of the game at 4:58. This goal was followed by one from Anthony Cinato (Warren, Mich./Metro Jets), and then another from Novotny.
-Up 4-0 going into the third period, the Pilgrims kept their foot on the gas as Tim Lopez (Fort Collins, Colo./Walpole Express), Brandon White (Medford, Mass./Kenai River Brown Bears), and Alex LaPlante (Londonderry, N.H./NH Cyclones) all tacked on additional goals to bring the final score to 7-0.
-Despite the lopsided score, the Huskies out-shot the Pilgrims 65-53 (38-31 on goal).
