GORHAM, Maine – The Bowdoin College Polar Bears defeated the University of Southern Maine women's ice hockey team 3-0 on Tuesday night in the final game of the calendar year for the Huskies.

How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
- Sara Ito-Bagshaw scored the first goal for Bowdoin at 13:48 in the first period, scoring off a rebound. Anyi Sun and Gia Massari recorded the assists on the goal.
- Allie Britt scored powerplay goals for the Polar Bears in the second and third period. Peyton Mulhern assisted on both of Britt's goals while Zoe Wilson and Jackie Miller also had assists.
- Bowdoin outshot Southern Maine 49-18 and had 22 shots on goal in the third period with seven coming in the final minute of play.
- Sophomore Madison Chagnon (St. Albans, Vt./Rice Memorial) led the Huskies in shots with four.
- Sophomore Amelie St-Amant (Cornwall, Ontario/Ontario Hockey Academy blocked a team-leading four shots while classmate Jess MacLean (Red Point, NS, Canada/Rankin School of the Narrows) blocked three and had three shots on goal.
- Bowdoin went 2-for-8 on the powerplay while the Huskies could not convert their three powerplays.
Up Next: Tonight's game wraps up the 2022 portion of the Huskies' schedule. The team will return to action on January 6 with a non-conference home against the University of New England.
