How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
- Morgan Mordini scored a powerplay goal for Elmira in the first period with Claire Meeder and Lexi Hoffmann providing the assists.
- Meeder went on to add goals in the second and third period for the Soaring Eagles.
- Mordini assisted on both of Meeder's goals while Emma Bradbury also assisted on the second.
- Sophomore Madison Chagnon (St. Albans, Vt./Rice Memorial led the Huskies with three shots.
- Olivia Stewart (Fredericton, NB, Canada/The Mount Academy) blocked four shots for Southern Maine while classmate Saige MacLeod (Dryden, ON, Canada Dryden) blocked three.
- Elmira outshot the Huskies 40-14 and outdrew them on faceoffs 29-11.
