How It Happened/Inside the Boxscore:
  • Freshman Olivia Stewart (Fredericton, NB, Canada/The Mount Academy) scored her second goal of the season by driving a pass from classmate Sydnee Chaisson (Stratford, PEI, Canada/The Mount Academy) past the Plymouth goalie. Sophomore Ally Stymiest (Moncton, NB/The Mount Academy) recorded the second assist on the goal.
  • Freshman Isabella Colarusso-Sprang (Northfield, Ohio/Gilmour Academy) scored her first collegiate goal in the first period off a blast from the point with junior Eryn Taber (Tewksbury, Mass./Austin Prep) and freshman Saige MacLeod (Dryden, ON, Canada Dryden) assisting. MacLeod's assist was the first point of her career.
  • 6:49 into the second period senior Jordan Colbert (Manomet, Mass./Plymouth) connected with reigning NEHC Player of the Week Madelyn McLeish (Dedham, Mass.) on a long pass between a couple of Panthers and McLeish finished the breakaway by beating Julian high for her fourth goal of the season. MacLeod assisted on McLeish's goal as well.
  • The Huskies played strong defensively throughout the first two periods, allowing just six Panther shots on goal and consistently hustling to shut down Panther attackers before they could muster a shot against McKim.
  • Plymouth State opened the third period with four shots on goal over the first 1:41 and finally got a shot past McKim when Chantelle Ross scored on a powerplay at the 4:14 mark.
  • Sophomore Madison Chagnon (St. Albans, Vt./Rice Memorial) extended the Huskies' lead to 4-1 with her seventh goal of the season and fourth of the weekend. The goal came after an Amelie St-Amant (Cornwall, Ontario/Ontario Hockey Academy) shot was saved by Julian but bounced directly to Chagnon who easily guided it into the open net. Senior Amanda Crowley (South Yarmouth, Mass./Tilton School) also was credited with an assist.
  • The final Husky goal of the contest came when senior Maddy Young (Westford, Vt.) made an athletic play by dropping to a knee to deflect the rebound of a Peyton Dukas (Fairfield, Vt.) shot past a diving Julian for her first goal of the season.
  • MacLeod collected her third assist of the day on Young's goal.
  • Five different Huskies scored goals in the contest while eight players recorded an assist for Southern Maine.
  • McKim made 18 saves in the third period while allowing just one Panther goal.
